Municipal House - Vyšehrad 2000

The Municipal House is one of the most important Art Nouveau buildings in Europe and was built as a representative and social house for the capital city of Prague between 1905 and 1912. Mikoláš Aleš, Max Švabinský, Josef V. Myslbek, Alfons Mucha and many others were among the most important Czech painters and sculptors. The main space is the Smetana Hall, which hosts the prestigious Prague Spring concert series every year, followed by representative halls and lounges, exhibition spaces, and important gastronomic venues. The Café and Restaurant are on the ground floor of the building, while Pilsner Brewery, Winery and Tretter's American Bar are in the basement of the building. These spaces can host events for up to 1 000 people, and all services have been provided for many years by Vyšehrad 2000, a company with 30 years of experience in the catering industry. The Restaurant, Café, Brewery and Tretter's American Bar are open daily and each establishment has a different focus. The Restaurant specializes in modern Czech and European cuisine, the Brewery is proud of traditional Czech cuisine, the Café offers a pleasant atmosphere with coffee and cake in a First Republic style, Tretter's American Bar has a wide range of cocktails and exclusive champagne wines.
